 ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION IN STUDENTS

Anxiety and depression are two of the most frequent problems that teens and young people face and college students, and they're starting to have an impact on the study. Anxiety and depression disorders are continually being studied, and new advances are achieved every year. Doctors are still unclear if depression is a genetic disease or a mental condition identified purely by psychological and physical symptoms.

WHAT CAUSES DEPRESSION IN STUDENTS?

Depression in college students is caused by a lack of sleep, bad eating habits, and insufficient exercise. Financial concerns, pressure to find a good career after graduation, and failed relationships are all enough to push some students to drop out of college or worse.

EFFECT OF MEAL :

Even what you eat can have an impact on stress, anxiety, and depression. Students must eat healthy meals regularly and be aware of the contents of their food. Research has repeatedly shown that what you eat has an impact on your mood. Different foods can even alter the body's chemical balance. Tryptophan, for example, is found in poultry, oily fish, beans, baked potatoes, oats, nuts, and seeds, and it aids in the creation of serotonin, which regulates mood.

TREATMENT:

One-on-one counseling and good behavioral therapy are two examples of psychotherapy

Antidepressants may be prescribed by a physician.

In addition, eating more of the following foods helps in minimizing  depressive symptoms:
  • fruit
  • vegetables
  • fish
  • olive oil
